By brian letourneau upsilon chapter just completed one of the most successful years in recent history. due to the hard work of our rush chairs, dan romero, bill flores, and mike antonacci, we were successful in initiating 43 new members, the highest number on the row. we are already making preparations to repeat last year's rush success, and realize it will take a lot of work and cooperation from all the actives and alumni throughout the upcoming year. we are also very fortunate to have past sage dave canty as one of the rush chairs for fall, helping to ensure a strong pledge class. the many new members also contributed to the strong athletic talent in the house. we had strong showings in volleyball, water polo, softball, tennis, racquetball, and a tension riddled final game in which we won the ifc soccer championship. these accomplishments earned us a second place ifc sports ranking, our highest ranking ever. our outstanding achievements were a perfect way to bid farewell to our twelve graduating seniors this year. this year has an abundance of graduates going to law school next fall. princeton kim will be attending usc, scott cwiertny, ken glowacki, and bruce macdonald attending loyola, and sean topp going to san diego. raj mistry will be starting a promising career in the business world at andersen consulting, joe cruz starts a fellowship in d.c., and the infamous dan romero will undoubtedly start a profitable entrepreneurial venture in orange county. other graduates that will soon be joining the working world are will perng, justin "juice" saeks, and matt bradley. the 97-98 academic year triumphantly built upon our experiences and progress we have made in social, recruitment, athletic, and financial aspects in the past few years. armed with our newfound knowledge and experience, i have.
